Heavy-duty does not always call to be incorporated with heavy. Transcend SSD230S is so lightweight that it feels like just carrying an empty packet of gum with you.

SSD230S is 6.8mm thin and only weighs 63g which makes it suitable for ultra-thin computing devices.

Transcend SSD230S features a 2.5″ SSD that can pack up to 1TB of storage. SSD230S 6Gb/s has built-in 3D TLC NAND Flash technology which enables vertical expansion of storage cells by stacking one cell on top of the other resolving bottleneck issues of memory cells.

Imagine going higher instead of outward, that is what 3D NAND Flash technology is like. 3D NAND makes it possible for the SSD to build up cells for the data, and has a much faster speed than a normal NAND flash.

SSD230S is loaded with DDR3 DRAM which provides 4k random read and write performance of up to 340MB/s.

SSD230S is engineered with SLC Cache, RAID engine and LDPC (low-density parity check) coding, an ECC algorithm, that keeps data secure. SLC Cache technology results to read speed that reach up to 560 MB/s and write speed of up to 520MB/s.

You can prolong your devices’ battery life with its SATA Device Sleep Mode. This feature automatically shuts down SATA interface when it is on standby for long. DevSleep Mode has an ultra-low power state that conserves battery.

Not to mention, this device made of aluminum is truly solid and shockproof. Despite of its jampacked features, SSD230S runs not just smoothly, but also quietly.
