Augmenting their camera-centric smartphone lineup, Samsung Philippines has brought in the latest member of the Samsung Galaxy J Series in the form of the Samsung Galaxy J8 which comes with professional dual camera and a fingerprint scanner all seated at the rear part of the device, a setup that’s uncommon for the local Galaxy J range.
First things first, the Samsung Galaxy J8 comes with two professional cameras at the back, comprised of 16-megapixel, f/1.7 aperture and 5-megapixel, f/1.9 aperture lenses. Among the features of the said cameras include the Live Focus which allows users to take shots with an adjustable blur effect, which was first highlighted when the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was launched last year. For its selfie shooters, this device comes with a 16-megapixel camera with an f/1.9 aperture plus an LED flash, ensuring well-lit self-portraits even under dim environments.
Other features of the Samsung Galaxy J8 include a 6.0-inch HD+ Infinity sAMOLED screen in 1480 x 720 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, an Android 8.0OS, a combination of 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable ROM for memory and storage, and a 3,500mAh battery. This device also comes with a dedicated microSD slot for storage expansion, which means users won’t have to sacrifice using dual SIM cards.
The Samsung Galaxy J8 also comes with exclusive benefits via the Samsung Members app, an additional 15GB of cloud storage via the Samsung Cloud, Anti-Theft function through Find My Mobile, and quick emergency access with the Samsung 321 app.
Available in colors of purple, gold, and black, the Samsung Galaxy J8 with a tag of PhP 15,990 will be up for pre-orders starting July 21 until August 3. Those who will avail within the pre-order period will have exclusive freebies including a JBL Clip 2 Bluetooth Speaker and a NanoFixIt Screen Protection and Insurance.
