Facebook users finally got to access the social media site after an almost ten-hour global outage.
Thousands of users around the world were unable to connect to Facebook between noon and 8:00 pm EST on Wednesday.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.’ said Facebook in its official Twitter page on Wednesday.
Facebook clarified that the outage was not a result of any distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack.
“We’re focused on working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but can confirm that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack,” Facebook later added.
Similar problems also occurred on other platforms owned by the tech giant including Instagram, Whatsapp, and Messenger at roughly the same time.
