The changes brought about by the global shift toward Fourth Industrial Revolution are not only affecting the general consumer sector but, more importantly, businesses of various sizes.

Businesses now demand skills that are related to technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), Internet of things (IoT), and robotics that will help them thrive in the digital era.

Many workforces across the globe have already embarked on reskilling programs to address the demand, but how does the education sector, particularly in the Philippines, prepare students to become a significant part of today’s increasingly digital economy?

This question is addressed at the Digital Education Conference: Empowering the 21st Century Educator, Internal Seminar Workshop on Digital Teaching and Learning organized by the Center for Human Research and Development Foundation Inc. (CHRDF) at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila from August 10 to 11.

Attended by more than 300 attendees, the seminar-workshop aims to help educators from various levels in the country in optimizing their skills and knowledge when applying technology in learning environments. CHRDF also staged the Digital Leaders’ Forum as a separate session coinciding with the conference. Apart from imparting valuable insights on today’s trends in education and workforce across the globe, digital learning solutions were also presented during the event, one of which is NUADU.

NUADU is a new digital platform for personalized learning and assessment in schools and learning centers. The platform provides each student with a unique learning experience based on their proficiency which it measures. The formative, summative, and normative assessment platform is deeply driven by AI and data.

With NUADU, teachers are empowered to streamline the teaching process in spite of having a class of students with different learning abilities, styles, and needs. The platform also allows teachers to identify knowledge gaps in a matter of seconds, featuring a dashboard that simplifies reporting. On the other hand, students can enjoy more the process of learning, thanks to NUADU’s rich bank of customizable exercises presented as interactive games. In the Philippines, NUADU is now utilized in Pasig City Science High School, Ramon Magsaysay High School Cubao, Philippine Pharmacists Association QCEM Chapter, and Sikat Learning.

NUADU is one of the key partners of The Digital Leaders’ Forum. The event is also made possible in cooperation with the UST EdTech Center, BigPond, Edufied, ERL Technology Solutions, E-Tutor Champs, and the Philippine eLearning Society, and ABS-CBN and Manila Bulletin as media partners.
